Planetary Nebula M 57

The famous Ring Nebula M57 is often regarded as the prototype of a planetary nebula, and he is one of the showpieces of the summer sky of the northern hemisphere. Recent studies have shown that it is likely to actually order a ring of bright fluorescent material surrounding the central star, and not a spherical or ellipsoidal shell. We happened to look closely at one pole of the fog.
